23 листопада 2024 року пройшов захід, присвячений вшануванню пам’яті жертв Голодомору 1932-1933 років. Церемонія відбулася у міській раді, де ми згадали трагічні сторінки нашої історії, віддали шану мільйонам невинних жертв та наголосили на важливості збереження пам’яті про ці події. Після заходу всі присутні вирушили до пам’ятника, присвяченого жертвам Голодомору, де були покладені квіти та запалені свічки. Цей жест став символом нашої вдячності та пам’яті про минуле, яке ми не маємо права забути. Ми вдячні всім, хто долучився до цього важливого заходу, висловив свою солідарність та підтримку. Разом ми продовжуємо боротися за збереження історичної пам’яті, що є основою нашої національної ідентичності та майбутнього. Вшанування жертв Голодомору – це не лише данина минулому, але й заклик до світу: пам’ятати, вчитися та ніколи не допустити повторення подібного. On November 23 2024, we held a commemoration event to honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933. The ceremony took place at City Hall, where we reflected on the tragic pages of our history, paid tribute to the millions of innocent victims, and emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of these events. Following the event, attendees gathered at the monument dedicated to the Holodomor victims to lay flowers and light candles. This gesture symbolized our gratitude and remembrance of a past we must never forget. We are deeply thankful to everyone who participated in this meaningful event, showing solidarity and support. Together, we continue to preserve historical memory, which forms the foundation of our national identity and future. Honoring the victims of the Holodomor is not only a tribute to the past but also a call to the world: to remember, to learn, and to ensure such tragedies never happen again.Thank you Ukrainian National Youth Federation – UNYF Edmonton for an incredibly important exhibition.
